This was our 2nd project with the Architect Simon Knight Architects and our 3rd on Burnham Road, St Albans.

 

The existing property was a 4 bedroomed Terraced property which already had a loft conversion and a couple of awkward downstairs back extensions.

 

We were employed to demolish the existing extensions downstairs and create a new more open space and extend the loft conversion to include an ensuite. We were also renovating the full property.

 

Space and access are always tricky on this road and we had to come up with new ways to deliver the project as well as juggling the works to the back. We also had to work the programme around to ensure we could get scaffolding up to deliver the works to the loft after the back extension was completed.

 

As always our expert team came up with solutions to the problems we faced.  

 

On all projects we have a meeting booked in every 2 weeks to review progress, discuss any questions/queries, and also keep everyone updated with decisions that are required in the coming period. This keeps communication flowing and with the client not living in the property, gives them the confidence works are progressing on programme.

 

This is now the perfect Family Home for the Parents and Teenagers to have their own space but all come back together in the large open plan Kitchen/Dining Room.
